"Let me preface this review by saying I was visiting Dr. Ziegner as a last resort - I am a chronic pain patient in severe pain 24/7. In an attempt to exhaust every possibility and get some relief for my pain, I am trying to visit specialists for help. I visited Dr. Ziegner after being referred by a friend. Obviously Dr. Ziegner's specialty is not chronic pain. After more than an hour wait, I was seen by Dr. Ziegner. She did not show much compassion for my plight because she was too buy typing the answers to her standard set of questions, on the computer, using one or two fingers. The system is designed for efficiency, but someone needs to learn how to type if both Doctor and patient time is to be optimized. I met with the Doctor for perhaps 20 or 30 minutes, an appointment that should have lasted no more than 10. After some time Dr. Ziegner acknowledged that this was not her area of expertise, which was mentioned by me at the beginning of the appointment - I was here as a last resort. The doctor ordered blood tests for specialized, specific diseases/allergies (I assume; I was never informed about which tests were being ordered) and I had the blood work done immediately following my appointment . My problem lies in trying to get a copy of my own blood work. The doctor's staff sent this information to my primary care physician, but (apparently) ignored my requests for my own copy. After asking for it several times, I simply never got an answer or a copy. Only after another request, informing the office that California State Law requires that patients have access to their records, was I able to pick up a copy of my blood work. Dr. Ziegner may be an excellent allergist, but office procedures and policies are extremely inefficient, if not conflicting with California state law. The office is lovely; the staff nice as well. "My son normally hates doctor's offices (memory of too many shots I guess), but he was having so much fun in the play room that he didn't want to leave! Dr. Ziegner was great. She listened to me and took her time to get all the information that she needed. She was great wtih my son, playing with him while examining him, thus making it easier on him. The whole office, from the nurse to the receiptionists were very kind and sweet. We live far away and got lost on the way to the office so we were 15 minutes late for our appointment, but despite that, the staff and the doctor never rushed us. "

I have complicated medical issues and Dr. Ziegner considers all of my problems and how they may be affected by allergy, immunology, treatment from other specialists. Dr. Ziegner took so much time taking a thorough history and listening to me and coming up with a plan to figure out the puzzle that is my allergies!
