"We travel all the way from Morgan Hill to have Dr. Rouleau treat our two boys and will continue to seek his treatment for our daughter next year when she will be in need of braces. He is sensitive, kind and truly cares about his patients and his staff."

"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done for me. You have changed my life. You didn't give up on me when others did. And for that I am in debt to you. Thanks to you and your staff. I never thought my teeth would look so great. May God bless you and your family with many miracles on Christmas. Thanks again."

"Your staff was all so sweet about everything and always eager to help. I actually looked forward to the appointments I had because you were all so nice! I got my braces off even BEFORE you said I would, which is always a good thing! I am definitely happy with my treatment results - I have never smiled more! I will continue to recommend your office to my family and friends. "

"I have been to a number of doctor's offices and by far yours is the most efficient, friendly and well-trained. Your staff is always eager to help - they are phenomenal! Everything is always explained to me to my satisfaction - and more! I am always pleased with the way I am treated when I go in, and because of my crazy schedule I often had to reschedule and you were always more than accommodating. I will definitely be recommending you to my friends and family. "

"Your staff was very sociable and pleasant and eager to help, while working with competence. I did have to have 2 or 3 refinements cause my teeth simply weren't straight when the staff had expected them to be straight, prolonging the process substantially. I would definitely recommend your office! "

After graduating from UoP's orthodontic program in 1982, I moved to the peninsula and practiced in Mountain View and Palo Alto. In 1993 I moved my office to its present location and I now practice exclusively in Mountain View. I have been active in the community doing dental screenings, working for water fluoridation, and coaching local baseball and basketball teams.  I have been president of St. Francis High School's Men's Club and involved with the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society.

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a junction of bones and ligaments located on each side of your head that allows movement of your jaw for speaking and chewing. The name TMJ transpires from the two bones that enter its formation, the temporal bone and the mandible (also known as the jawbone). If you position your fingers in front of your ears and slowly open your mouth, you can feel your TMJ and its movement. Try it!

Kid Brushing | Bert Rouleau | Orthodontist | Mountain View, CA

Ah, baby teeth are so cute and little! But when should a dentist see those little chiclets? Baby teeth have lots of different names- milk teeth, baby teeth, and deciduous teeth. The last name is the actual dental definition. Deciduous means “falling off at maturity” or “tending to fall.” It is usually associated with trees, but in this case it’s teeth that are “falling” out, and new permanent ones will take its place. In any case, deciduous teeth need to... read more

The AAO (American Association of Orthodontics) recommends that all children receive a check up by an orthodontist by the age of 7. This early evaluation will allow the orthodontist to advise the family when the ideal time to start treatment.
