"Amazing experience overall with competent experienced and professional staff. Worked to establish insurance coverage with girls up front,. prepared an overall plan under budget and with my dental goal in mind... I would highly recommend Erika the Hygenist she was gentle and efficient and cleaned my teeth thoroughly. Dr. Anderson was professional and had a better plan for my Dental goals than the past three Dentist's/Ortodontist's I had seen in the last four years. His plan included vaneers which would be far better than the prior Doctors plans, His equipment was state of the art and the procedure was literally painless, I felt nothing?... I had my Wife and children see him as well. Excellence in every way. I Highly Recommend!"

"I have been going to Vineyard Dental for many years, with Dr. Burrell being my dentist and Kathy as my hygenist. Since Kathy retired in 2010, today was my first visit with Eileen. I was nervous not knowing what to expect from someone new to me, but Eileen was great! I had told her that my gums were sensitive and she took extra care to be gentle and I experienced absolutely no pain. Then I met with Ann who took my x-rays and polished my teeth after the cleaning. Throughout the process, both women were very professional and caring. I will definitely not be nervous for my next appointment. I would highly recommend both! I have full confidence in Dr. Burrell and the staff at Venyard Dental"

"A+ This office exudes professionalism. The courteous and efficient staff, along with the latest equipment and technology immediately put my fears at ease. Doctor Burnell was kind, friendly, considerate and above all an extremely skilled doctor. During my operation the dental assistant and Dr. Burnell worked like they were controlled by the same brain. The whole thing was so stress free that I almost fell asleep! I would also like to point out that the hygienist Karen was friendly and a pleasure to be treated by; I always request her. I put off seeing the dentist for years because I figured my teeth were a lost cause, but Karen and Dr. Burnell really inspired me to take care of my teeth and now I feel great about my smile and have no fear of the Dentist. Thank you! "

"I met with Dr. Burrell. I had a wonderful experience. I had been having a sensitivity in a crown that had been done several months ago, he decided not to do the crown on the left side, but instead to change the crown on the right side to take care of the problem. I still could not chew on the right side. He was very caring & gentle. I would Highly recommend seeing Dr. Burrell. He will definitely take care of you with the utmost Care!"

"Wonderful! I told the doc that I was experiencing horrible migraines on one side of my face and radiated to my jaw. He thought it might be this one tooth and suggested we crown it. The tooth turned out to have tiny decay in it and the crown took only one appt. and another for making sure my bite was OK. No more migraines and sensitivity! I am very impressed with Dr. Anderson and will recommend him to all my friends. "

Q: What got you into this specific practice of dentistry?
A:
I have wanted to be a dentist since I was a little kid.  I love doing tiny things with my hands and most of all I want to help people feel better, both physical and mental health.  I want to help people out of pain and also help them feel good about themselves.

Q: What landed you in your city, and what is it that you like about the neighborhood?
A:
I am a Californian through and through.  I grew up in the Bay Area and have always... read more

Dental Implant | Richard Anderson | Dentist | Santa Rosa, CAWhy Should I Replace a Missing Tooth?
The healthiest alternative to a missing tooth is to have it replaced. Potential issues may arise associated with a lost tooth, such as biting, chewing, and speaking problems, headaches, muscle pain, as well as an unattractive appearance.

What are Dental Implants?

Digital X-ray | Richard Anderson | Dentist | Santa Rosa, CARadiographs, or X-rays, are used in every dental office. They are a great way to see the teeth and bones, and they make sure they are healthy. In the past, X-rays were taken using little pieces of covered film. They were placed in the mouth and exposed using an X-ray machine. They always jabbed inside the mouth and seemed to take forever to be processed. Well, those days are now behind us! In the new era of dentistry, dentists are using digital radiography. The same X-ray machine is used to... read more

Toothache | Richard Anderson | Dentist | Santa Rosa, CA

Root canals get a lot of bad press. Even President Obama, in his first State of the Union address, said that the bank bailout was “as popular as a root canal.” While I’m sure that no one actually looks forward to getting a root canal, they don’t deserve all this negativity. Let’s look at some common myths about root canal therapy to try to separate fact from fiction.

Myth #1: Root Canal Therapy is Painful

The reality is that most root canal treatments are done because a tooth is already... read more

Dental Exam | Richard Anderson | Dentist | Santa Rosa, CA

Teeth can be a very groovy thing... literally! The teeth in the back--the molars--tend to have a lot of grooves on their biting surface. Sometimes they are so narrow that a single toothbrush bristle cannot fit into them to clean them well. If bacteria is left in the grooves, eventually a cavity will form. To prevent this from happening, sealants are placed on the biting surface. Dental sealants consist of a viscous liquid that flows into all the grooves and then cures to a hard plastic... read more
