"I am a high fear patient. Just the thought of walking through the door of a dental office makes my skin crawl. After reading all the encouraging reviews on Dr. Peabody's website, I decided to pick up the phone and make the call. The receptionist had a very friendly tone and made me feel at ease right from the beginning. She was able to make me an appointment in a timely manner and made me feel comfortable and she asked me if I had any questions before hanging up the phone. "I have been going to Doctor Peabody now for approximately 8 years. Previous to that, I hadn't gone to a dentist for 25 years due to fear. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease. They never condemned me or made me feel guilty because of the condition of my teeth. The first step was a deep cleaning and over the years relpacing old fillings along with my regular six month cleanings. Every experience has been exceptional and I have been very well cared for. I happen to have crooked teeth (which I kinda like) but have never been made to feel like I needed to have them straightened. I did purchase bleaching trays and I am always getting compliments on my teeth and my smile (I like to smile). When I have check ups and x-rays they let me know what needs to be done but never under pressure, always in own my timing. The staff is always very friendly and personable. "Having neglected my dental health for over 5 years due to Dentist fears I was pointed by a friend to Dr. Peabody's office. Probably the best consumer/client advice I've ever received. Dr. Peabody, Bryn, Tamara, Jet and Jen all try and make your time at the office as comfortable and stress free as possible. Everyone works with you from where you are without and shame, judgements or scoldings. Treatments were monitored closely for pain tolerance and comfort so I always felt I was in control. "I am chair gripping, panty wetting terrified of the dentist. I don’t have anything against dentists: it’s just what they do. You take the sound and smell of dental work, add pain and it isn’t something that endears most people to the profession.

I had some really horrendous things done in my mouth and I swore that I would have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into a dental office. I swore that I would have to be knocked out before anyone was EVER going to work in my mouth again. My vow lasted over ten years. Eventually, I couldn’t stand it any more. I couldn’t postpone it. I couldn’t procrastinate anymore. My teeth were falling apart.

That’s when I found Dr. Peabody. He promised to “knock me out” (my words, not his). I was given a “little white pill,” a white leather lounge chair, and covered with a warm white blanket. It was like being at a spa only with drugs. There was soft music playing...and then there was nothing. I remember nothing. I still can’t figure out how they kept my mouth open.

In one day I had ten years worth of dental work done. I was told that my jaw might be a little sore
(it wasn’t). The next day I got a call from Dr. Peabody; he just wanted to see how I was. I was fine. What doctor does that?

I must still have been drugged because I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. The nerves set in because I knew that I would get my “little white pill.”

What was I thinking? Anybody that comes near me with dental tools is in mortal danger. I tense up, hyperventilate and tend to lash out. Carol, the dental hygienist, was ready for me. She gave me gas. She could have cut off my leg and I wouldn’t have cared. There was no pain.

As we came to trust each other (we bonded over the gas mask for several years), Carol introduced me to the “magic gel.” The gel numbs everything. Now I get gelled instead of gassed and I’m not so loopy.

The last time I had my teeth cleaned I got a gold star. I told Carol she and Dr. Peabody had changed my life. So she asked me to write this.

So, if you are like me, don’t be a wimp. Make an appointment at my “dental spa.” You take the pill, get a warm blanket and get a new smile. What’s not to love? Ok, there is the bill….

"incredible. the staff are incredible. friendly and sincere beyond belief. no fake friendly smiles here. genuine and caring. doctor p did a full reconstructive work on me. i was very anxious. but dr p put my worries at rest. always considerate and listens to all my questions. dr p and the staff helped along through the process( which was not the easiest) and brought me a new smile! and now i can eat apples, peanut brittle, ice cubes, ice cream, and steel nails. my wife and i drive from san jose because we know there isn't another dr. p anywhere else with the experience and care like him or his staff! "I am so appreciative of all the wonderful care and concern that Dr. Peabody and his staff have provided for me. Sedation dentistry is the way to go. I put off calling the dentist because of fear. Please do not let this happen to you. Dr. Peabody and his staff have made it so easy for me to keep my appointments. I use to feel ridiculed at other dentists because they were always criticizing my flossing skills and telling me to "just relax". Right...
