"Helen's experience was:
"Dr. Erwin fitted me in on the next working day (on Monday). He told me clearly of the status of the tooth (not good), and what he was going to do to attempt to save it. It was a lot of work. In the process, he checked with me to see how I was doing. He and his assistant were caring and attentive throughout the most intense dentistry experience I have had in many years. I have just had the permanent crown fitted, and the tooth is fine." "

"I love Dr. Erwin for his commitment to doing dentistry right, for the materials he uses, for his health beliefs. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with him on at least two counts, one being an accidental shot into my tongue of the numbing agent, and I had to suffer with a tongue that was numb and felt burnt for over a year. The other was a crown that needed only to be put back on, but instead was broken and I had to get a whole new crown, which was then (the new crown) shaved down too much on the side. I HATE to write a negative review in any way because Dr. Erwin is far and above one of the good guys. He deserves everyone's support and business."

"I started going to Dr. Erwin about a year ago for my dental work, and the circumstances of how we met were unique. I was in the throes of a dental emergency, and he was the best dentist I could possibly imagine finding under those conditions. I am totally pleased with the work he's done so far, and the high level of expertise that he clearly possesses. He's a biological/holistic style of dentist, who considers the health of the whole person with his approach to dentistry. There are quite a few biological dentists in LA, and I even spoke with a few before deciding on Dr. Erwin. I feel that with him I've found the very best! ~Brant B."

Biological Dentistry | Dr. P. Vernon Erwin | Dentist | Glendale, CA

Dr. Erwin prides himself on being a biological dentist, or what he says is total dentistry. The doctor has always been amazed by otherwise well-trained dentists who can look at a mouth without seeing the person around the mouth. The intricate relationships between the teeth, gums and oral tissues with the rest of the human body, and among the body, mind and soul – these lie at the heart of biological dentistry.

For a simple example, consider what happens to you physically when you're feeling... read more

DIAGNOdent | Dr. P. Vernon Erwin | Dentist | Glendale, CA

DIAGNOdent is a fiber optic laser device that lets us detect cavities early in the disease process – before they cause pain or destroy much of the tooth. This lets us save more of the tooth and provide an optimal restoration: one that looks and acts as natural as possible. We also use cold lasers for a variety of dental treatments, from reducing pain to disinfecting surgical sites to stimulating cellular regeneration and tissue growth.
